The 24th annual Women of Color (WOC) in STEM conference is scheduled for October 3-5 in Detroit, Michigan.
The multi-cultural event will feature speakers on a range of topics, including under-representation of women of color in STEM fields.
“Women make up more than half of the population of [the U.S.] and are receiving more than half of the college degrees, yet too many women in today’s workforce are trapped in low-paying and low-grade-level jobs,” Tyrone Taborn, says CEO of Career Communications Group, the company that publishes Women of Colour magazine, in a statement.
